FTE 80-96 - Shock Absorbers

Date: Sun, 14 Jun 1998 19:00:42 -0700
From: Jon Berman
Subject: FTE 80-96 - Shock Absorbers

I'm looking for 4 new shock absorbers for my 1994 F-150, 2wd. I recently
changed my tires to Dunlop 31x10.50r15 all-terrain type tires which seem
to give a pretty good ride and handle ok too. Unfortunately, switching
to this softer and larger tire made the suspension much "bouncier" than
what I'm used to.

I installed Monroe Sensatrac shocks a few months ago (before the tire
change) and the ride and handling were very good with my old, smaller
BFG A/T tires. The ride now isn't horrible, it just leans, rolls and
bounces more than I'd like. Any recommendations or advice on shocks
which will reduce the body lean and "bounce", yet still be compliant on
the highway--I spend about 99% of the time on the pavement.

Thank you,
