This sounds like the best idea yet. I am having some glass shelves cut
right now at such a shop so I'll ask about this when I go to pick those up.

Can you recomend a good performance muffler that is quite! I want to keep
the big round type muffler on it. Thanks Geno

Hi all- new subscriber here, and I got a few questions...:)

Has anyone here had problems with warping brakes? Specifically anyone
with the 4-
wheel ABS. I've got a '94 Bronco with severely warped front
rotors. The rear brakes were serviced a couple years back under some
factory service bulletin. I have heard mixed reports of the ABS system
actually ruining the brakes. Has anyone else heard this?

Ford wants upwards of $625 for a front brake job, including replacing the
rotors. the rotors alone are ~$300 (!!), presumably because they have
this sensor ring for the ABS attached to the backside of them. I'm
considering just using normal rotors from the parts store which DON'T come
with this sensor ring and cost 49 bucks. I'm just wondering if the ABS
system will go haywire with no input from the front sensors? In which
case I'm also considering pulling a couple of the 5 or 6
fuses/breakers/relays relating to the ABS. Am I nuts for wanting to do
this? This is the first vehicle I've had with ABS on it, so I'm not
personally attached to the idea of having it. Will I regret "pulling the
plug"? If it is the ABS attacking the rotors, I don't want it to ruin the
new ones.

I know the truck's history, because my mother bought it new. It was not
driven hard or abused in any way. It took several complaints of the
brakes "pulsing" for the dealer to fix the rears. Now it is the fronts
causing problems.

Any thoughts? Suggestions? Anything would be helpful (and appreciated)
at this point.
Thanks--

On another note, I've gotten alot of responses telling me that Ford used a
lot of bad
rotors and drums on their trucks for a while, and that they
warp pretty easily. Have any of you had yours replaced for this reason?
And if so, how much did it run you? (or did FORD foot the bill, like they
ought to, assuming this is true?)
