It can sometimes, if not too extreme, be eliminated or at least minimized by readjusting the hood (hinge-hood bolts). ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 25 Feb 1998 00:25:18 EST From: Shelektric Subject: Re: Make Truck No Go i like the idea of leaving the keys in the ignition that is what i do all the time if a theif wants your radio he will get it one way or another if the keys are there they think you are coming right back ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 25 Feb 1998 01:05:34 -0800 From: marko Subject: New Process Xfercase At 05:52 PM 2/24/98 -0500, you wrote: >Rob writes: >>what is the purpose of the neutral setting? > >Xfercases have a PTO access plate. I'm basically positive my xfercase is a np205. But I'll check again tomorrow. marko in vancouver marko ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 25 Feb 1998 00:59:19 -0800 From: danadeb Subject: Re: Hood Hinges My 70 f250 does the same thing. I believe that the springs are the biggest reason. Mine are so worn that I now have to use a prop to hold the hood up. There is no rust in the area where they mounted and they are adjusted as low as they will go. In regards to the 6" to far forward hood I would bet that the links are out of phase ( easy to do if the spring has been removed ) My 56 had flat circular springs that I replaced and the links could be rotated past center without the spring in.
