I thought smog control started in '73! Anyway IMHO -H= I think your best bet
will be figure where they all go. Is the plate an EGR plate or is it just a
spacer. Is this the original engine? An electronic ignition was the best
thing I've done to my truck. I got it at pick a part for $21.00.

Yes and no! My 302 if there is a gap I need to buy a longer pushrod. Maybe
one of your rockers is loose. A Hydraulic lifter is a cylinder with a piston
in it. The cylinder fills with oil allowing a marginal Clarence and
dampening. Every head you worked on was a Chevy I bet! :)

Get a piece of plywood cut to size and use wood screws to attach it to the
old wood! It's going to cost some bucks replacing the wood restoring it to
look original.

FYI, stepside is Chevy, Flairside is Ford. But you have added weight to my
