quick dumb question, I don't see my 360 listed in their apps, would it
be referred to by some arcane name only the cognoscenti understand, or
perhaps it has the same belt setup as another engine like the 460?

Thanks!

PS reason is I want to add PS system from a 78 or so donor soon...

A set from a 390 will fit your 360.

Ok, Gary ya cant leave us hanging... What parts (and PN#) did you use to
create the custom lines? Inquiring minds want to know.

John,

I'll bite. The third crank counterweight on a 351 looks like a single piece
of pie aimed at the journal.

The third throw on a 400 is about twice as wide.

That is my trick for telling the two apart. If you do not have an example
of each to look at, any local machine shop would be able to show you.

Believe it or not Don, I sure did-- and I dont' believe it to be original--
but--

A couple weeks ago I asked a guy who had a truck at the Autozone parking lot
if he would be interested in selling it (I'm dying to find a shortbed 2x4!!
(hint-hint!)) and it was a '78, 302, auto, and he said all original.. It
*did* look all original, but looking under the rearend, it was 100%
definitely a dana 44 rear with 5 lug... Just had to tell ya! (and with the
'78 frame and leaf springs being wider, I even looked to see if mounts had
been fabbed on the axle and didn't see any signs of the widening of the leaf
pads or anything!) I know they used 44' rears in the 60's, but that one
puzzled me all day.
