What in the world are these? Anybody know? It looks to me like just another tax. Jon E. Purut Jon. Sometime in the not too distant past there were some deliberately stupid people. They would simply dump their process waste as they wanted to. They did it even after they had been educated how to dispose of it correctly. Because they did everybody now has to pay increased costs, or fees to dispose of the waist correctly. Many of the substances in an engine are considered HazMat and so special processes must be used to dispose of them, this increases my costs. Personally I don't mind the extra costs as it is my small contribution to keeping where I live clean. I simply ran at a lower profit margin then some of my competitors did. When Big Brother came buy and told me "You have to do X, Y, Z". I and others I know put it on the invoice as a line Item. As time goes buy the costs continue to increase in waist disposal. Others that I have talked to and I agree at this point; rather then raise prices to cover the cost and not tell you why, it would be more beneficial to break out this cost and list it separately. There is another reason for it, if I list it; it may help keep the Greeneyz and Big Brother from interfering in my small business any more then they already do. Is it a tax? Not in my case as it simply covers the costs that are now "required". But in other areas there may in fact be a "Tax". I don't know if this will help you or not but that is the reason that you see it on my invoices. There is a method of generating a + or - DC voltage off of a 110VAC 60Hz supply that when viewed on a scope will show a full 60 wave. When you've never seed this before and it is 3 AM and the machine down time is running over $1k/Hr. it can scare the >> Double E that designed the electronics and wake him up and catch an ear full for telling him about a normal situation. Man did I feel dumb! and there are a whole bunch that agree! But I did fix the machine! True D.C.(Direct Current) will not have a sine wave. The way to make D.C. from A.C.(Alternating Current) is by using recitfiers. If one were to find a sine wave coming out of a supposed D.C. power supply, the rectifiers one or more diodes in the rectifier bridge would have to have failed. == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 6 Sep 1998 16:50:04 EDT From: NUTCH11 Subject: FTE 61-79 - Re: 16 inch rims hi i'm not sure about 16 inch rims for 66 and 97 i think the 66 had 8 bolts and i never looked at a 97 way to new for me. i can tell you that if you can find a ""GOOD"" tire store they should bge able to help that isn't sears/ wards/ etc . a real tire store. good luck john == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 06 Sep 1998 19:01:06 -0400 From: Joe & Jen DeLaurentis Subject: FTE 61-79 - What years had Chrome FE valve covers Can anybody tell me what year Ford Used Chrome FE Vlave covers(have powered by FORD on them) and what vehicles????I would like to get another set since mine are losing there luster joe == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 6 Sep 1998 21:25:13 EDT From: Bato125 Subject: FTE 61-79 - Bad Gas....Tank I am replacing my original behind the seat gas tank with a tank that i will jimmy rig. Subject: FTE 61-79 - Y-Block FE Swap I used to have a 62 F-100 4x4 with a 390.The swap was done before I got it so I'm not sure how it was done.It had a home made L shaped center mount that bolted through the timing cover & into the stock mount. The transmission mount set-up looked stock. Not sure what bellhousing was used but it had a 12" clutch. The front mount set-up sounds a little shakey but it took a LOT of abuse . Wish I could be of more help on the bellhousing. == FTE: Uns*bscribe and posting info www.ford-trucks.com/faq.html ------------------------------ End of 61-79-list-digest V2 #436 ********************************....
