Get some header wrap and wrap the fuel line. That, in combination
with 2 carb gaskets instead of 1 did the trick with my 67.

Could be vapor lock. I used to get it when it was cooler than that!
An extra gasket under the carb and header wrap on the fuel line helped.
For looks, you can get fiberglass insulator for the line.

There's a book by Vintage Part 411 that has sources. Either
get it through them for $15.95 or through us for $14.95
(shameless plug, but what the heck, it pays the list server
bills!). Info on our site or do a web search for them.

In the works, a vote on a Ranchero list!

Keith Srb, John (FoMoCoNut), Kim and I watched until 1:30am. Cruising
was still going strong when we called it a night. Hate to admit it, but
even some of those 55-57 Ch*vy cars looked good.

I officially envy you. That was one sharp 67. Good to see you found
the trim you've been looking for. Its given me incentive to have mine
ready by then (it'll be close).

More are planned. I hope to help get the ball rolling on a west coast
informal get together. Unfortunately, I won't be able to get there.
Meeting so many list members was really rewarding.

Next year we're going to be better prepared. Committees set up to
organize a Saturday BBQ lunch, ride shares and possibly a block of
rooms in a hotel. All of these will help to keep the costs down.

Azie has now been mentioned. A little late, but better late than never.

Subject: FTE 61-79 - 203 Transfer Case problems

Hi all, I need some advice from you.
While 4-wheeling in the mud on Sat. my full time 203 transfer case began to
make some really nasty noises. If I was gentle in 4wd there were no noises,
but if I gave it some gas and started to work the truck it made a clunk
clunk noise. Both in forward and reverse but only in 4wd.

I also found out that it would not stay in 4 low, it kept popping out of 4wd
low. But in 4 high it stayed in gear but made the clunk noise. It made the
clunk clunk noise in 4 low and 4 high.

Just a while back I installed a Mile Marker 203 conversion kit with hubs.
This is the first time I really used the 4wd hard since I installed it. I
did notice the same noise before a little bit, but only under HARD
acceleration and not only in 4wd.

My questions are: Any idea what could be wrong? Is the chain slipping a
cog?
Is a 203 worth repairing or should I find a 205?
How hard is it to find a divorced 205? Or a 203 for repairs.
How hard is it to convert to a divorced 205?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Its the mile marker conversion ill bet I found in the past i had to really be
careful on the end play. You might need to add gaskets behine the alum housing
second one back and double check those huds Hope that helps.
